Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

The cheesiest of the cheesy, but with the randomness of ability use, I find this to be the most effective one against the annoyance of No-No's random moves.

The leveling pet won't get much XP, but it can come in handy to give a bump to a level 1.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Most hilarious strategy ever :-) And perfect synergy with No-No’s strategy!

Works great, thanks!

So, I figured out why the Apocalypse sometimes misses No-No, I use a H/S Cockroach so he usually goes first, but if No-No has the speed advantage and casts Beaver Dam for his first move, Apocalypse is applied to your team only. If you see the spell on your team but not on No-No it will kill the Voidcaller and miss No-No altogether. The dam can be active when Apocalypse hits just not when cast. Just restart if this happens. Cheers!
Update, I've switched to a Fire-Proof Roach, S/S breed. I did 10 starts with this 341 speed roach and No-No never got the first move. (edited)

Hmmm... after working repeatedly on previous occasions, I just experienced the apocalypse miss No-No altogether, and also do him zero damage - his dam was up, but this has previously not prevented him from dying when it hit. Random occurrence?

Was your roach dead when this happened?

No - alive & well ^_^

Huh! I wonder if that's a recent fix to prevent abuse.
I'm honestly not sure, and I've been taking a WoW break so haven't been on to check!

First off, excellent strategy! I've had the same thing happen to me, on occasion. I'm not sure why this happens and the cockroach was alive and well every time. Still my favorite strat for this fight :)

As noted above, the XP on this fight is really, really low; but I always enjoy wringing out every little bit of XP that I can, so I put second carry pet with Apocalypse in place of the roach for a little more XP. I think it needs to be at least L20 to have Apoc available. It gets hit first round but not killed, then is safe for the rest of the battle. Poor No-no - he's really not very bright, but ya gotta love him.

I've been using this strategy for quite a while with excellent results. Today, I still won, but the battle played out a bit differently. No-No only cast his Dam once. The rest of the time, he attacked. Voidcaller ended up being taken out three rounds before Apoc hit. Fortunately, I had a L16 carry pet along with my L20 Roach. The carry pet came in for one more round, then the Roach came in for two including the Apoc hit. I still won & both leveling pets got XP, but if I'd had lower level carry pet, I probably would have lost him. Just a word of warning that No-No may be getting brighter!!!! lol

As of 8.3, you'll want to talk to Zidormi to flip the Vale back to its Sha-corrupted form from its N'Zoth corrupted one.

Noted today that if beaver dam and Prismatic Barrier are up at the same time, he will destroy the Prismatic Barrier first, then the dam. hmmm.

Telopea

wrote on 2019-02-13 11:03:04

Worked beautifully once I got past the 5 restarts in a row because of beaver dam.

Kathleene

wrote on 2019-03-02 19:02:54

I ran into the same issue, Telopea, so I traded my Roach for an S/S Gold Beetle. He was faster than No-No, so it was no longer a problem. There are a number of critters with the same moveset as the Irradiated Roach, so check out your pets for an alternative.

I already found out why (thanks to Remte for explaining), it was because the cockroach died at the same round, that caused Apocalypse to miss :P

You learn something new everyday :D

Gotcha! Thanks for letting me know anyway!
If the timing works on this, your roach shouldn't see enough battle to take damage at all.

Yeah, I feel that some crits happened on voidcaller, so it was just bad luck.

Worked perfectly on 2nd try :)
