Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

1 / 6

The fight is very very long (75+ turns), but there is no RNG (always wins)

Using script is recommended as it's all priority based.

How does it work: The enemy Imp (Frill) is almost harmless to critters. The idea is to keep him as enemy front pet (he uses Fade and next turn you stun the pet you don't want to see and Frill comes back) and to kill enemy backline pets with Pheromones. A fawn provides needed healing.

Any fawn type and breed works, but the more power it has, the better it works (best is P/P Gleamhoof Fawn) - more power = more healing = less turns wasted on healing.

The strategy works with 1 lovebird, but the script won't work in this case. Pheromones' going to have lower uptime and the bird'll need more healing. The fight is going to last even longer. With 1 lovebird I'd use additional fawn for faster healing.

Medium XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Tricky
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Son of Sethe almost carry's this battle by itself, i used court scribe to swap in and remove the magma trap and put in curse of doom, then dead mans party with macabre marionette

I just checked. Son of Sethe was a favourite of mine many years ago. It's like a Ruby Droplet, and both of those are like a Blood Death Knight - they keep on taking hits, heal themselves ip and keep coming. So I thought I'd see.

It works, and I did get a log, but it's very long - 54 rounds - and the Trap RNG makes it awkward to formulate into a deterministic strategy. I don't feel like tackling it now, but if anyone does, contact me on the Discord and I'll send you my log.

The basic ideas are:
- use Scribe's Consume Magic to clear the trap
- Son of Sethe Touch of the Animus, Drain Blood when half-health, else Absorb is slow but deadly
- Scribe's Curse of Doom against the Humanoids
- I used Marionette's D&D under the Stampede

If you don't have two Lovebirds, you can use 1/1/2 Void-Scarred Beetle, with no specific timing on the latest ability but I was using it during or just before Frill's Fade as it timed that way to me initially and the first Ruddy's round is "idle" anyway. It will make the ending a bit more different, not only just because of less AoE but also because instead of Ruddy, it will be Wanderer who remains alive longer, but at least to me, I noticed that Ruddy had <100 HP (could be RNG?), so I put VSB in, put Void Crash, one-shot Ruddy and had Wanderer stunned next round.
Not saying that's the best outcome for this setup (how dare I), just what I noticed while passing by. (edited)

BluePrincess wrote on 2020-01-15 15:47:55

it worked once i understood it. keep Pheromones up, kill background pets, imp is easy does little damage, don't do damage to imp. Keep Pheromones up, if imp's fade cooldown still in play, and you have 2 or 3 rounds left on you Pheromones, go to fawn cast Tranquility, and after, bring up a lovebird that doesn't have the cooldown on attacks, if imp is about to use fade, put in lovebird, because you want to stun next pet after he fades. keep tranquility up when you can (2 or 3 rounds left on Pheromones and fade still on cooldown) But always keep up Pheromones, as much as possible #1 thing in fight, once his 2 pets die in background (they hit way hard and you dont want to fight them) then do damage to the imp.

and keep up the Pheromones - :D

Don't let Frill use Fade when you cannot stun the enemy pet (your current Lovebird has it on CD, or you are on your fawn) and you don't need to use Tranquility at all - Bleat provides enough healing if you keep an eye of your hp.
Next run I need to check number of turns between Fades and I should be able to remove Tranquility from the script (it isn't used right after going out of CD).

BTW: Tranquility if good if you're about to switch to lower hp lovebird, but it depends on stun CD (edited)

The fight is long, but it is 100% effective, it is almost impossible to lose.
