I was successful combining these two strats - used Ghastly Kid with moves outlined in the main strat, and then Ghostly Skull and Blighthawk as per the first comment (I don't have Son of Sethe levelled yet). Worked perfectly!

I for some reason have less undead than any other pet :/
So this is what I used:

I like the ghastly kid more, although i use consume magic on turn 2 to loose all the debuffs

Thanks for your input! I just tested that and in the end, it does not make much a difference since the debuff you keep if you use Ethereal doesn't do any further damage because you avoid Rip. Although with the heal from Consume Magic the Kid often lasts 1-2 turns longer, giving it a chance to kill with a Diseased Bite and use Ghostly Bite on Spokes. But then the rest of the strategy is slightly off and would have to be rewritten... So I'd say this particular strategy works best with Ethereal. ^^
